Bike Works presents Cranksgiving 2025
Bike Works is pleased to present the 12th Annual Cranksgiving Bucks County bicycle ride on Sunday, November 2nd at 9:30 AM. The ride departs from the CB West High School student parking lot on MacFarlane Lane. Online registration is free, and event day registration begins at 8:45 AM at the school.
The 28 mile ride visits three area grocery stores where participants purchase non-perishable grocery items and load them into a box truck provided by the Fred Beans Auto Group. The event benefits the Bucks County Housing Group food pantries. 9% of Bucks County residents, and 16% of Bucks County children, face daily food insecurity. Backyard Beans Coffee Company (Lansdale & Ambler) will provide pre-ride coffee, and Jersey Mike’s (Doylestown) will provide post-ride lunch for participants. Since 2012, the local cycling community has donated over 119,000 lbs. of non-perishable grocery items to support the community. Donations are also accepted at Bike Works Doylestown (139 S. Main St., Doylestown, Pa 18901) and Bike Works Newtown (208 N. Sycamore St., Newtown, Pa 18940).
“Cranksgiving was the first event our business organized when we were founded in 2012,” said Fran Taloricco, Controlling Partner at Bike Works. “We’re proud of how our cycling community has embraced the event.” Cranksgiving Bucks County is part of the grassroots, nationwide Cranksgiving effort to support local food pantries and charitable organizations that fight food insecurity. Over 100 cities will host events this year and provide over 1 million meals.
“We’re grateful to Bike Works for hosting Cranksgiving and for continuing this incredible tradition of giving back,” said Erik Clare, Executive Director of Bucks County Housing Group. “It’s such a fun and meaningful way to make a difference, every rider helps bring food and hope to local families during the holiday season. We encourage everyone to sign up and be part of this wonderful community event.”
