Small Business Weekend

Started in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a well known day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. But because Doylestown has so many amazing boutiques and unique shops to try visiting in just one day, the shopping frenzy has been expanded to an entire weekend! This year, Discover Doylestown is excited to host Small Business Weekend on November 25th, 26th, and 27th. The weekend will include fantastic discount offers, unique and one-of-a-kind gifts, a festive holiday atmosphere, and personalized service from friendly shop owners! Please come out and show love to the locals who love you back!

Discover Doylestown is also excited to announce that it has partnered with Doylestown Borough and McCaffrey's Simply Fresh for a number of amazing features throughout the holiday season. To kickoff the festivities, Doylestown will play host to it’s 102nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, on Friday, November 25th at 5:30pm. Crowds will line the surrounding area of State Street and Main Street to cheer on Santa’s parade as they approach the center of town, where old Saint Nick will officially light the Christmas Tree for the first time.

The partnership between Discover Doylestown, Doylestown Borough, and McCaffrey’s Simply Fresh will also allow for FREE parking each weekend throughout the holiday season! Free parking in Doylestown will include all 3 hour meters within the downtown area, beginning on Friday November 25th. More details about free parking can be found at www.discoverdoylestown.org.

Since Doylestown is famous for the great boutiques and shops, they’re putting the perfect theme together for the 2016 holiday season - “Sleep In, Shop Small, Give Big!” Starting on Saturday November 26th, the numerous shops who are part of Discover Doylestown have banded together to encourage shoppers to think outside the “Box” and sleep in on the day after Thanksgiving. Shops will be opening at 10am, to allow shoppers a good night’s sleep, just before coming to Doylestown to shop small. Plus, Discover Doylestown has organized a community give back piece, where coupon books for many shops around town will be sold for $10 each along with a Discover Doylestown tote bag, and a portion of the sales will be donated to the Doylestown Fire Company!
